Nehemias Moreno brings over 20 years of diverse experience in education and the private sector, with a focus on Career and Technical Education (CTE) and workforce development. He has spent 13 years teaching CTE at the high school level, where he has developed a passion for preparing students for careers in technical fields and equipping them with the skills needed for success in the workforce. His expertise spans a broad range of industries, with special emphasis on business technology, administrative computer systems, and leadership training.
In addition to his teaching career, Nehemias served for 2 years as a Community Outreach Coordinator at the district level, where he fostered partnerships between schools, local businesses, and community organizations to create opportunities for student internships, apprenticeships, and career pathways. He has also contributed 5 years as an Educational Consultant in the private sector, working with a construction company to develop training programs that align with industry standards, improve workforce readiness, and ensure safety compliance.
Currently, Nehemias is applying his extensive experience to the middle school level, where he teaches Career and Technical Education to 8th-grade students. Beyond his classroom work, Nehemias plays an active role in extracurricular activities. He serves as the Assistant Coach for the Esports Club, mentoring students in competitive gaming, and participates in the VR Technology Video Game Design project, helping students explore cutting-edge technologies and develop real-world skills in the growing field of virtual reality. His goal is to ignite an early interest in technical fields and career exploration, providing students with a strong foundation for future academic and career success.
